COVID-19 – an update for our customers
Inform Nutrition Ireland
As Covid-19 continues to evolve, we want to share what Inform Nutrition Ireland is doing to ensure the continuity of business and protect the health of our employees, customers, distributors, suppliers and local community.
Firstly, you can rest assured that we are open for business. Animal health is considered an essential service under Irish government guidelines, so our production and supply chain is running as normal.
We are very proud of our team who are front line workers committed to playing their part in feeding Ireland, by ensuring that animal health and welfare is maintained during this difficult period.
To safeguard the continuation of supply and the health of our colleagues, we have introduced a number of measures since the outbreak of the pandemic. Work schedules are now staggered in our manufacturing facility, social distancing is being adhered to, all workers are following the WHO’s health and hygiene guidance, and all non-essential colleagues are working from home. Should any Inform Nutrition colleague have COVID-19 or suspect exposure to someone with the infection they will self-isolate for 14-days before engaging with customers or colleagues.
Our production team is now working 7 days a week to guarantee our customers get their orders on time and in full.
Our sister company, Mervue Laboratories Ireland, who also specialise in cutting edge science and solutions, was the first company in Ireland – in partnership with Irish Distillers, the manufacturers of Jameson – to ensure that our national Health Service Executive (HSE) had supplies of hand sanitiser in early March. They now manufacture over 40,000 units of GelGuard hand gel per day and are the primary supplier to the HSE, Irish Defence forces, Tusla and the Department of Welfare to name just a few of the key frontline services they provide protection to. This week, Mervue Labs are producing their one millionth bottle.
In addition to prioritizing the safety of our country, supply chain, customers and colleagues, we are also monitoring the potential impact of coronavirus on animals. The WHO advises that there is no current evidence that animals can spread the virus.
Despite the challenges that Covid-19 presents, it is business as normal here at Inform Nutrition. Our R&D team continue to develop exciting new products, which we look forward to launching in the coming months.
Please get in touch if you have any queries. Our customer service and product support teams are available to answer any of your questions.
Thank you for your valued support. We hope that you, your families and employees stay safe and well.
Sincerely,
Martin Beirne and William Twomey
